Diva Entertainments and Club Asia Radio, in association with Honey Kalaria, Bollywood Ambassador to the UK, will soon be staging the “UK Bollywood Dance Championships 2008”, allowing talented Bollywood dancers from across the UK to take part and compete for the prestigious overall title. Top prizes will be offered such as flying the overall winner to meet stars and visit film studios in Mumbai, modelling contracts and upto 1 year free training at Honeys Dance Academy.
The event will offer an opportunity to anyone who thinks they have the talent, providing a platform to perform in front of families, friends and a live audience. Initially a series of Bollywood Talent Show Heats will be held in North, East and South London as well as Leicester in the month of April. The open auditions will then lead to the semi finals in May and then to the final UK Dance Championships held in July
Honeys Dance Academy students will also take part in a show staged later during the day to provide additional entertainment, together with staging a fashion show that will officially launch the new HDA Bollyfitness range of clothing. Part of the proceeds from the shows will be donated to Barnardos, a charity that Honey has chosen to support for 2008.

“It will be a fantastic opportunity for dancers from all cultural backgrounds to get involved in the world of Bollywood, and show off their skills to the world,” said Honey Kalaria, whose aim is to open up opportunities and get more people involved in dance and fitness.
